The Vacheron Constantin FiftySix Complete Calendar Blue Ref. 4000E/000A-B548 brings traditional Geneva watchmaking into a more contemporary and wearable package. Inspired by Vacheron Constantin’s Ref. 6073 from 1956, the FiftySix features a 40mm stainless steel case with distinctive lugs incorporating subtle elements of the brand’s Maltese Cross emblem. Its petrol-blue dial combines an opaline center with a sunburst-finished outer section, creating impressive depth while organizing a complete calendar that displays the day, date, month, and moon phase. The date is indicated by a central pointer hand, while apertures for the day and month sit near the top of the dial and an 18k gold moon appears against a blue night sky at 6 o’clock. Despite the number of complications, the layout remains remarkably balanced and legible, giving the watch the elegance expected from one of Switzerland’s great historic manufactures.

Inside is Vacheron Constantin’s automatic Caliber 2460 QCL/1, a 308-component, 27-jewel manufacture movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Its precision moon-phase mechanism is particularly impressive, requiring correction only once every 122 years when kept continuously running. Through the sapphire exhibition caseback, the movement showcases traditional haute horlogerie finishing along with a distinctive openworked 22k gold oscillating weight inspired by the Maltese Cross. The caliber and finished watch carry the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva, further emphasizing the level of craftsmanship behind the reference.
