The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Ref. 232.30.46.21.01.001 is a bold professional dive watch from the second generation of the Planet Ocean collection, combining serious underwater capability with the more refined construction Omega introduced to the line in the early 2010s. Its substantial 45.5mm stainless steel case measures 16.6mm thick and surrounds a black dial with applied luminous hour markers, oversized Arabic numerals at 6, 9, and 12, and a date window at 3 o’clock. A black ceramic unidirectional diving bezel provides improved scratch resistance over the aluminum bezels of the first-generation Planet Ocean, while the domed sapphire crystal receives anti-reflective treatment on both sides. A screw-down crown, helium escape valve, stainless steel bracelet with diver extension, and an impressive 600-meter water-resistance rating give the watch genuine professional diving credentials.

Visible through the transparent sapphire caseback is Omega’s Co-Axial Calibre 8500, a 39-jewel automatic chronometer movement operating at 25,200 vibrations per hour. Developed as part of Omega’s transition toward modern in-house movements, the Calibre 8500 features the Co-Axial escapement, a free-sprung balance, twin mainspring barrels mounted in series, bidirectional automatic winding, and approximately 60 hours of power reserve.
