The Omega Seamaster Professional 2254.50, affectionately known as the “Peter Blake,” is a standout model in Omega’s dive watch lineup. Named after the legendary New Zealand yachtsman Sir Peter Blake, who famously wore this watch during his environmental expeditions, the 2254.50 is celebrated for its clean, utilitarian design. It features a 41mm stainless steel case with a slim 11.8mm profile, making it both substantial and comfortable on the wrist. The black wave-patterned dial is adorned with oversized luminous hour markers and bold sword hands, offering exceptional legibility. Unlike the more ornate “Bond” Seamasters, this model opts for a minimalist aesthetic, including a color-matched date window at 3 o’clock and a matte finish that underscores its tool-watch character.
Powered by the Omega Caliber 1120, a chronometer-certified automatic movement based on the ETA 2892-A2, the 2254.50 delivers reliable performance with a 44-hour power reserve. It boasts professional dive features such as a helium escape valve, screw-down crown, and 300 meters of water resistance. The watch is paired with a Speedmaster-style bracelet, which is preferred by many for its comfort and tapered design, as opposed to the more intricate “Bond” bracelet. Though discontinued, the 2254.50 has garnered a cult following for its blend of rugged functionality and understated elegance, making it a sought-after piece among collectors and dive watch enthusiasts alike.

Brand History
Brand History
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in Switzerland, Omega has grown into one of the most respected and innovative names in watchmaking. The brand’s early focus on precision earned it accolades at international observatories and competitions, setting the stage for decades of horological achievement. Omega became the official timekeeper for the Olympic Games in 1932, and in 1969, the Speedmaster Professional—nicknamed the "Moonwatch"—made history as the first watch worn on the lunar surface during NASA’s Apollo 11 mission. Omega’s innovations continued with the introduction of the Co-Axial escapement in the late 1990s, a groundbreaking movement that dramatically reduced friction and improved long-term accuracy.
