The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Antoine de Saint-Exupéry” (Ref. IW377713) is a refined aviator’s chronograph that marries historic pilot-watch heritage with elegant storytelling. Its 43 mm stainless steel case is paired with a rich sunburst tobacco-brown dial, featuring luminous white Arabic numerals and triangle index at 12 o’clock. The three chronograph sub-dials—30-minute, 12-hour, and small seconds—along with day and date windows at 3 o’clock, create a balanced and utilitarian layout. Fluted pushers and screw-in crown under a convex sapphire crystal add to the rugged feel, while the solid-steel case back is engraved with a Lockheed P-38 Lightning aircraft in tribute to the celebrated aviator and author.
Under the dial beats the automatic Calibre 79320, delivering about 44 hours of power reserve, protected by a soft-iron inner case for improved resistance to magnetic fields. Offering 60 m water resistance, this Pilot’s Chronograph is fitted with a brown calfskin leather strap with contrasting stitching, completing its vintage-inspired yet modern aviator aesthetic. It’s a watch that honors adventure and aviation, while offering daily functionality and timeless style.

Brand History
Brand History
The International Watch Company (IWC) has a rich history dating back to 1868 when American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones founded the company in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Jones aimed to combine advanced American manufacturing techniques with the skilled craftsmanship of Swiss watchmakers. Despite initial challenges, IWC quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality pocket watches and, later, wristwatches.
Throughout the 20th century, IWC was a force of innovation and expand its repertoire accordingly. In the 1930s, they introduced their first pilot's watches, which would become an enduring part of their identity. During World War II, IWC produced these watches for both civilian and military use. The post-war period saw the introduction of iconic collections like the Ingenieur in 1955 and the Aquatimer in 1967. In the 1970s, IWC collaborated with Ferdinand A. Porsche to create the first watch with a built-in compass. The company's commitment to technical innovation and classic design has persisted into the 21st century, with IWC remaining a respected name in luxury watchmaking.
