Details
This limited edition commemorates the 20th anniversary of Grand Seiko's original Spring Drive movement, Caliber 9R, which was created in 2004.
It also features the celebrated ‘snowflake’ patterned dial that debuted the following year, in 2005. This timepiece won the hearts of watch fans worldwide with its beautifully textured dial and its representation of Grand Seiko’s respect for the natural world. The new creation’s dial features a pink gradation that vividly captures the beauty of a sunrise against the snow-covered Hotaka mountain range in Nagano Prefecture, where all Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are made. Combined with the unique glide motion of the Spring Drive seconds hand, the dial captures the tranquil, seamless, and indeed natural passage of time.
The case and bracelet are made of high-intensity titanium, which is about 30% lighter and more scratch resistant than stainless steel to maximize comfort and durability.

Brand History
Brand History
Grand Seiko emerged in 1960 as a high-end watch line from Seiko, aiming to challenge Swiss dominance in luxury watchmaking. The brand quickly established itself with Japan's first chronometer-grade watch and later gained renown for its innovative Spring Drive technology, which combines the best of automatic and quartz movements. In 2017, Grand Seiko became an independent entity, solidifying its position in the luxury watch market.
The brand's design philosophy, known as the "Grammar of Design," was established in 1967 with the Grand Seiko 44GS. This aesthetic approach emphasizes legibility, refined appearances, and distinctive features like multi-faceted markers and hands, a half-recessed crown, and the meticulous Zaratsu polishing technique. Grand Seiko continues to push boundaries in watchmaking, as evidenced by recent innovations like the "Kodo Constant-Force Tourbillon," while maintaining its commitment to precision engineering and unique design language.
