The Frogger was created as a tribute to the origins of America’s underwater warriors — the Navy Underwater Demolition Teams, or “frogmen,” whose legacy would ultimately lead to the formation of the U.S. Navy SEALs.And there was only one place we wanted at the center of that story: Coronado, California.

As a San Diego watch retailer, that history is in our backyard. Coronado remains synonymous with Naval Special Warfare and generations of men who have trained in the Pacific just off its shores.

So when we had the opportunity to design our own DOXA, we wanted it to feel like a purpose-built instrument first and a limited edition second.No unnecessary dial text. No polished surfaces. No decoration for decoration’s sake.

The result is the Frogger.The 42.5mm 316L stainless-steel case has been completely sandblasted, eliminating reflective polished surfaces and giving the watch a subdued, utilitarian finish.

At its center is a kelp-green textured dial, inspired by the waters off the Southern California coast. Applied black indices keep the dial dark and purposeful, while oversized orange hands provide the unmistakable high-visibility contrast associated with DOXA dive watches.

Even the dial text was stripped back. Rather than filling the dial with specifications and branding, there is only one name: DOXA.The ceramic dive bezel combines orange elapsed-time markings with green depth and no-decompression-scale details, tying the colors of the Frogger together while retaining the functionality that made DOXA dive watches legendary.

On the reverse, the custom caseback features Coronado Island, along with DOXA SUB FROGGER and the individual limited-edition markings.Each watch is paired with a sandblasted beads-of-rice bracelet and also includes a green nylon NATO strap and special green inner presentation box.
