The 1958 Omega Seamaster 300 “Big Lollipop” 2913-7 is one of the most iconic early dive watches ever produced, representing both the genesis of Omega’s professional dive line and the era’s growing fascination with undersea exploration. Its bold “broad arrow” handset and oversized luminous lollipop seconds hand define this reference, designed for maximum legibility under water. The bi-directional bakelite bezel, gilt printing, and classic 38.5 mm straight-lug case give it a purposeful yet elegant look, making it one of the most sought-after Seamaster references among collectors.

What sets this particular example apart is its exceptional condition. The dial has aged beautifully, with luminous markers and hands developing an even, attractive patina while maintaining strong readability. The bezel insert is remarkably intact for a watch of this vintage, showing only light wear consistent with careful use. The case retains sharp chamfers and original geometry, avoiding the heavy polishing that often diminishes examples from this era. Even the lollipop seconds hand—so often lost or replaced—remains correct and well-preserved, making this piece a true rarity.

Powered by the robust Omega calibre 501 automatic movement, this 2913-7 is not only historically significant but also mechanically reliable. Paired with a Delugs Taupe Strap, it wears with both vintage charm and tool-watch presence. For collectors seeking a cornerstone piece of Omega’s dive watch legacy, this Big Lollipop Seamaster 300 stands out as a remarkably well-preserved example of a model that shaped the history of underwater timekeeping.
