1988 Tudor Submariner Date 76100
The reference 76100 was produced around 1984 and is considered a transitional model, primarily due to its short production run and the unusual hand set.
Rather than the iconic Tudor snowflake hand, the 76100 reference is known for a unique “lollipop” hour hand, without the classical inner divide of the famous “Mercedes” hand from Rolex. There were a few 76100 watches that came with the Mercedes style hand, such as seen on this watch. Service hands are often the Mercedes style, but not always. The hand on this watch appears appropriately aged and matches the rest of the dial. The dial indexes were also a different round shape, as opposed to rectangular. Because of its short run, it is therefore harder to find this Tudor reference 76100.
